Wow, so pretty and neat, too. I am smitten with jealousy! Just lovely.

Wow!
Do you mind sharing your mushroom setup? What kind of logs to use, where you got the spores, how long it takes to grow, etc., if you have a few minutes? |

Do you prefer the log cabin stack or the on end for your logs? I've been wanting to do some. Just gotta trim my water oaks first.

Thanks, all!
@BVV - I end up using both here and there but by and large I stack in between fruitings to rest logs and stand up A-frame style to fruit them. @NewWest - I consider this the latest and greatest info out there on growing Shiitake on logs: https://blogs.cornell.edu/mushrooms/...11-1osfnxs.pdf http://blogs.cornell.edu/mushrooms/factsheets/ A couple more from this evening. It's that way here too, Worth.
Everything is either inside the garden fence or covered! |

The Black Star looks awesome. Please save seeds and share
Thanks for the mushroom link, I read it and will come back for future reference, particularly after seeing your results. My dad used to grow oyster mushrooms and "wood ear fungus" in logs with success. |

Will do. It's how I got them so it would only be right
You're welcome. Sounds like your dad is/was a fun guy. First Brandywine, Sudduth's today. Not much to say about it that hasn't already been said. As outstanding as ever. Last edited by Randall; July 7, 2017 at 08:48 PM. |

A Hummingbird Moth waiting for its turn and the first Sunflower to open.
Most of the garlic is completely cured and ready to hang. |

Wow. Great garlic, great bounty! That GGWT is like some splendid bird upon its nest.
Great pic of the hummingbird moth. I have seen them once in a while here, but not with a camera in hand! |

Hey thanks, MdTNGrdner!
"That GGWT is like some splendid bird upon its nest." - lolol bower Still waiting on these Sunflowers to pop open. It should look a lot nicer, then. |
