I agree with Worth on this one, I think it will play hob with both the islands and the end of Florida, but skip it's self in the gulf and gain power there again. I'll go a bit further, and say I think Irma is going to cause more problems for the Texas gulf coast.
And now there is another TD named Jose, chasing after Irma, which may or may not turn into yet another mess. Even a good sized storm, now, hitting, can cause havoc, let alone if it comes in after a hurricane. Please, everyone in the possible danger zones prepare to get out early and safely if you need to do so. |

I mean in the gulf where the temperature is 8 degrees hotter than normal.
Not trying to scare anyone but it is reality. If it does it won't be good. |

Just looked at the model tracks again, at the moment they have it curving up the whole Florida coast and into Georgia... Very scary for all concerned.
http://trackthetropics.com/ And Worth, it will be awful if it gains strength from that extra heat in the gulf. UKXI is the only model that has it going into the gulf at the moment.... but yowza. Please take care, everybody! |

Welcome to Worth's weather station.
Here is my reasoning behind the prediction. One is for today the next is for 3 days from now. If the high pressure reaches the gulf before the storm we may have a slim chance. If not the low will suck it in. It may anyways. Worth sept 5 2017.JPG sept7.JPG |

If Irma follows the HWFI model track or the CMCI model track it would mean most of Florida would be on the dirty side. There are only a few models suggesting that at this time.

They were talking about that low pressure system instead of sucking it in was going to push it up and out over Florida. And the low is going to stay stationary, keeping the storm where it is, which means it's going to be a big rain event also.

This is totally backwards from what some weather man said a few years ago. I have also been looking at the prevailing winds in the ocean. |

I am thankful I live in tornado alley. This hurricane stuff would drive me looney. Irma could pretty much wipe out Florida if it decides to turn at the right time. My thoughts and prayers are with all in her path.

I was looking at the radar maps and saw it and thought what the $%#$ is that? Now the news just substantiated it. Seems like the weather lady got the name wrong for the storm. Jose in in the Atlantic. Last edited by Worth1; September 5, 2017 at 08:13 PM. |
