That is a Texan dinner

Our dinner tonight,

T Bone Steak, deviled eggs, and fresh asparagus.

I just noticed the posts in the pic are red. Are they Barn red? Ours are barn red and the gates are barn white.

I dont know some kind of redwood stain I picked up.

I was going for the red adobe southwestern desert look in the front.

BEHR Redwood #9, latex stain.

Thank you Salt.
By asking what color paint I used on it I have to go look.
Right after I posted what it was I decided to paint the beds over again.
Then I thought why not start working on the arbor again.
I had everything I needed here at home so I started again.
Here it is all I lack is the runners on the top.
No more bare wood in the front.

It does look nice. What first caught my attention was the color a couple pictures above. In the last pic, it looks like 4x4 posts?

Why I noticed, is the new garden posts I painted yesterday and the night before are 4x4s painted almost the same color. I had to use Behr paint because the boards are repurposed. The whole fence is actually. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to get the rabbit guard part on (2' tall 2x4 field fencing) in place. The upper part will be barbless wire or something similar for squash, beans, etc. to grow on. I can put the upper part on as needed. That way, I can move on to the next project.

Gardening is turning into a full-time job I'm so grateful for the opportunity to garden.

Thanks guys.

I have tossed around many ideas on what I wanted to do for the arbor.
Finally today I decided I am going to put a 1x2 lattice (the strips you buy at the store) inside the frame and down 2 feet on all sides, in a 6 inch grid.
I am then going to stain the grid turquoise.

I planted a slew of gourd seeds the other day and I need something for them to climb on.
