I'm here by the computer myself only receiving permission to do so about an hour ago and soon I hope to make it back to my bed.
This has been a nightmare in many ways but no time now to elaborate but I should never have been sent home b/c they knew I lived alone with my old cat who has been a source of comfort except when a thermos of hot soup blew up yesterday , she was next to me and levitated about a foot into the air. No, I can't leave my bedroom to go out to the LV where the TV is so no tennis, no nottin. But my brother called and told me who won the AO tennis. Thanks Ami for BOLDING the chocolate, ahem, but you should see the restrictive diet I'm on now. Fine, but it doesn't take into account what a person with diabetes has to have vs OK and avoids. Maybe my brother Dave doesn't think there's anything humerous about his user name of HYBRID, but I do and that's for another time. Carolyn, where it's supposed to go down to minus 18 tonight and when my PT left she double checked that all faucets were not just dripping but there was a small stream of water.

I'm very sorry that you have to deal with the environment as well as your healing. You should get some people to move your bed into the LR so you can access the TV and computer better, or move them into your room.

I hope neither you, nor your kitty, were scalded by the hot soup.
Stay warm and safe, and get better!

I'm really glad to see your posts again! I do wish the weather wasn't so extreme there right now. Snuggle with your kitty and warm!

carolyn,
i certainly hope you are on the mend. there is something to moving the bed idea. when we first moved to the U.P. the movers were unable to get our queen box spring up the stairs. some of the old company mining houses here are funny like that. the first six months or so, we slept downstairs in what could be considered a dining room. we got a lot of rest that first winter with the bed being close by. take care keith |
