I've been away for a while and got to read this thread for the first time today. So, you're actually telling me that in Florida you harvest tomatoes at this time of the year?!? I’m greener than your Green Zebras with envy! Actually I’m just drooling on those pictures. Great work! So do you get to harvest tomatoes twice a year in FL? How awesome!
We are experiencing some unusual cold over here and this morning my garden looked like the surface of Pluto. It will definitely take months before I can (try to) grow some of those beauties |

A dwarf, Little Lucky, and Earl of Edgecombe
First Three, Little Lucky which we later has for dinner salad. This is a yellow/red bicolor, sibling to Lucky Cross, from the famous bee cross of Brandywine X Tad, discovered by our NCtomatoman, Craig L.. When cut open, it is a gorgeous mostly yellow with a pink stripe down the center and a few paler pink ones.Taste is spectacularly delicious 9.9/10 (I never give a perfect 10) Downside, this is a late plant, and only a medium producer. PL, indet Next 2, Tennessee Suited, This Dwarf discovered by ContainerTed. Delicious 9/10 Production medium to poor.Late as dwarfs often are. Still, the taste makes it worth a grow since it doesn't take ip much room.Thank you Ted for the seeds. Last 3, Earl of Edgecombe, RL, indet but stays fairly small, late, taste is very very good for a yellow, balanced on the acid side.8/10 Firm flesh on all 3, all definitely worth a grow, Little Lucky makes the cut every year. |

Great stuff as always Marsha! I'm growing Earl of Edgecombe this year, yours look delicious. I'll be growing EoE along side Jaune Flamme, going to see which I like best between the two.

Beautiful pictures and very detailed descriptions. Thank you, Marsha. I am noticing that you are growing quiet few yellow tomatoes this year. Which one will be coming back next year?

How does Little Lucky's taste compare to Lucky Cross?

I grew LC once, got a lot of disease, and only 1 fruit with a not memorable taste. Little Lucky grew the same year, and I really love it. It has been in my garden for several years running. Never disappoints.

Some later varieties coming in now.
Not Winsall first two - I call it a not because it has potato leaves, the real Winsall has RL. This is totally stable, produces delicious large pink juicy beefsteak, medium low productivity. Taste is a 9.3/10, which is why I grow it every other year. The large cracks are due to cool overnight, then getting up to 83F during the day. Taste is very Brandywine/Terhune like. Pink, PL, indet New Big Dwarf next two - I think next year I will start all my dwarfs 3 weeks before my other tomatoes, they always come in much later. These are not very big but the plant has many on it. Pink 2-3 oz so far. Haven't tasted yet. RL, rugose, indet, but dwarf. German Johnson Benton Strain next two- these aren't ripe, but I think you will get the idea. They are about 8oz sweet and acid in good balance pink beefsteak shaped with RL, indet habit. I loved them last year so growing again . Taste 9.5/10, productivity 5/10. Donskoi last two- Off the charts production, fantastic meaty 6-14oz red hearts wispy RL, Indet, my second year growing. Might be my new favorite red heart, even over Wes! |

Brutus, weighed 1.5 lbs, flavor sweet, juicy firm flesh 8/10. Very productive for such large fruit. RL, indet but more bushy than lanky. Thank you Andrey By for the seeds.

Great pictures and reviews Marsha. Where did you get the seeds for Not Winsall from?
