Still hot down here. Yesterday and today highs were near 92F, with no breeze and with high humidity.
Good News: : It is starting to cool down by tomorrow, Bad News : There is no rain in the forecast for the next 10 days with higher than 20% chance. Gotta water my cole /fall crops.

Was in the 70's today, friday, I am late posting. It was very humid so wasn't very nice for going outside. Supposed to get more rain this weekend and I sure hope it happens.

84 degrees and 57% humidity right now. I made breakfast on the griddle this morning when it was 74 degrees and 84% humidity. It was a nice morning to sit outside and have breakfast.

At this moment as I am writing (8:39 pm) it is 62 F. The forecast calls for a low of 51F tonight.
That is a new low perhaps since April, or May , I guess. For the next 10 days the high will be in 75 -85 range. And the lows in 58 to 63F range. We might get some showers in a few days too. So, for sure fall is here.

Weather Update :
Today (10-07-17) we got some rain, maybe 3/4" of it. Not bad. This can help me with planting rye grass, onion and cabbage with less watering. The other day I was at the seed/feed store to get rye grass seeds. They had cabbage sold in bunches like onions. I had never seen this before. So I bought a bunch. Also bought yellow onion sets. So the rain came at the right time. Hope you have a clement weather.

We have a Nate SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT IN EFFECT
TROPICAL CYCLONE INFORMATION STATEMENT IN EFFECT for tonight in the Great Lakes area. "The remnants of Nate likely to affect southern Ontario with some appreciable rain overnight into Monday. Tropical Storm Nate, which is currently over Alabama, is weakening rapidly and travelling north to northeastwards. It is forecast to track just south of the Great Lakes tonight into Monday. However, the rain associated with this weakening system is likely to graze portions of the lower Great Lakes with several hours of rain. It should begin tonight for regions north of Lake Erie and north of Lake Ontario towards dawn or early Monday morning. Total rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are likely, with locally higher amounts of 40 mm possible. Rainfall warnings are possible for some areas if somewhat heavier rain is expected. The rain will end from west to east on Monday." |

We'll get some rain and wind from Nate here too... we do tend to get everybody's leftover weather (and it is usually a soft punch though when it comes to tropical storms!). Whatever system is biggest pushes the others along in our direction.
It's been very warm again for several days, well above normal temperatures which for us is the 60's F. I don't know why but it seems pathetic converted to farenheit. 18 or 19 C are respectable summer temperatures for us. We just don't normally get that in October. And besides, although some normal lows in the 30's and highs in the 50's, we haven't had a real frost yet, not ice-on-the-bucket frost. Last year we had two in September. |

Well I am in the basement with the pets. Very dark out and pouring rain with a tornado warning until 7. I guess better to be safe than sorry even though it feels ridiculous .

Yow... stay safe there! We do not get tornadoes here EVER, not ever. scattered hurricane, and some storms that are as bad as. I've spent a few days in the basement while the wind is howling, and there's not a thing wrong wtih that!
