Default Hydro Grow Bags For Tomato culture?

Do you think these Hydro Grow Bags will work as tomato containers? They hold 10 gallons of soil or 40 quarts. Is that enough soil? Any other problem ith them? has anyone tried using these?

They are plastic but you get 10 for that price. I'm finding geo bags that price for 1. I figured the white plastic should deal with heat problems and they are by far the cheapest containers I found.

This thread might help you.

I wonder what the best staking/cage system for these would be.

The way I was planning on doing it is putting a 3ft stake on the last container on each end of a row of grow bags. I would secure the stake to the deck they are on or if it was on a soil area the stake could go next to the container. I would then tie three straight lines of string at 1ft 2ft and 3ft high. as the plant grew I would tie it to each of the lines. When it reaches the top line I bend the tip of the plant and tie it to the top string. Every week I tie down the new growth. I have used this system before and it works well.
