Default Earthworm Castings Question

Someone gave me a bags of earthworm castings. Being in the desert on acreage I've never once seen an earthworm in my soil. My beds are of course amended with compost and manure etc but I've never used castings, and as far as I know, no earthworms in my soil. Do worm castings have worm eggs in it? If that is the case then I assume that is a way to get earthworms into my garden without actually purchasing live worms? Anyone have any knowledge?

It depends on how the castings were processed. If it is from someone's home grown worm bin it probably will have egg capsule. Worm castings are not from the type of worms you would have in your garden soil. Worm growers use red wigglers that are much smaller. I have found those little red wigglers in my garden after I had applied castings.

It's a commercial bag. On the bag it says G&B Organics Worm-Gro Earthworm Castings. Ingredients: Earthworm castings, recycled forest products, kelp meal.

Earthworms are not composting worms. Casting as usually created from Euros or Red wrigglers

OK, but it says 'earthworm' on the bag. Not Euro or Red Wiggler.
