September 2011 Late Blight Alerts for the North East

Cornell's Late Blight Update 9.28.11 shows Late Blight has been confirmed in the western end of New York State, in Erie County (where I am) and Niagara County.

This was very timely information for me since I was out in the garden picking tomatoes today and noticed a few plants had all of a sudden developed water soaked lesions on some leaves, found one plant with dark lesions on one stem and even a green fruit on that same plant affected. Damage control time!
