Posted on another thread regarding the Texas Weave system, and here's my method borrowed from member dcarch on seedsavers forum years back. Apologize for photos out of order, will get it right in the future ;-)

Tim, I am not familiar with the Texas Weave; what are those pieces of wood in the very last photo for?

I am guessing they are spreaders to keep the support wires apart.

Reminiscent of the sculptor Kenneth Snelson's tensegrity structures. I never thought of those as tomato supports before

Right you are, they are spacers (since photos were taken I have switched to 1"X1"x18" cut on a table saw) to an create an 18" opening, seems to be about right and plants pretty well stayed inside, did have to tie some however using cut up plastic grocery bags since I didn't prune them. I like to think of it as a vertical sprawl. BTW I goofed! Wrong title for the thread when I made the post, stud rail being horse fencing. "Super-Strut" Tomato Support System is what it really is since that is what is used and can be found at the big blue home improvement store. I'll try to take plenty of photos this season, especially showing how it looks later in the season. Texas Weave is what I was looking for when I found this, so I've never tried it & others here have so they could comment on it better than I can.

Hey, that would be a futuristic tomato tower, wouldn't it? Maybe in kit form, kind of like an "erector set" for adults
