Default First tomato of the spring.

Two blemished Carbon Copy. (Large cherry) OMG, they tasted like big Cherokee Purples!
I just love CC, huge flavor, very productive!
Any advice on stink bug control? With 75 plants, hand picking may be impossible considering my work schedule. I also found a worm, Army worm? I can take care of those with BT?

Never grown carbon copy I will add it to my list of tomato plants I cant find at the store.
I need a garden gal helper to cook for and take care of seedlings.
The priorities would be in this order.
No griping.
Likes to eat.
Loves gardening, animals and plants.
Boyfriend has to leave 24 hours before I get home.

I just picked about 3 dozen Carbon Copy and sliced them in half and made a wonderful taco salad with lettuces, onion, cilantro, extra sharp cheddar and lightly seasoned taco meat. Just amazing, no other words can describe.

Sounds great, I love CP and will have to give Carbon Copy a try down the road. A couple of years ago in NC I grew Black Cherry, it was very prolific with lots of toms. To me though the taste was off. Albeit, we had lots of rain that summer. Are they similar?

Planted some CC 5 days ago. Hopefully I didn't let the cells get too hot.

I would say more similar to Cherokee Purple than Black Cherry.

This years first tomato was May 29, medium sized heart, started from seed in late Jan. I grow about a dozen earlies in buckets and move them in and out of the garage when daytime temps are over 50. All varities are under 2 feet. Sophies Choice is loaded with full size tomatoes but they are first getting a very slight blush.

The bucket that produced earliest happened to be the most neglected. It was watered sparingly once a week and had no fertilizer. I work in a senior nursing facility and wheel the bucket around on a table every week to show people that are inside all the time. It really lights up their faces to see something green and full of life. There are three more ripe tomatoes on that plant and several smaller green ones. I also have some bucket cherries about to ripen. Yum!

Still waiting for the larger plants/fruits.
Here is my only one (out of 50) with fruits. It is called : HAHMS GELBE TOPTOMATE.
It is a dwarf with German origin and of course German name .
It is a yellow cherry size.
