Default Golden Rave

Been trying to find seeds for Golden Rave tomatoes - one of our favorites.
Originally purchased from park Seed but the no longer have them.
Have tried others that claim to be the GR but didn't turn out to be what we wanted. Several vendors even had the exact same photo that others used

Any suggestions on how to find seeds?

Have you tried Gurney's? They're a reputable company and still have it listed as available in their online catalog, though the price is high: https://www.gurneys.com/product/gold...MaAj-qEALw_wcB

Weird that a tomato that had such an enthusiastic reception and such positive reviews would be discontinued. That's the trouble with falling in love with a hybrid; you never know if some day it's just going to disappear from the market.

Ouch! Ten seeds for $8 at Gurney's! No longer the cheap old timey catalog I grew up with. I expect those prices at Johnny's, but surprised that Gurney's traditional customer base would pay that.

I haven't received their catalog in a couple of years, and if I did, I likely wouldn't even open it. About 4 years ago they had a few hybrid corn varieties for $11 each. My guess is with shipping and handling, it would come to about $17 for a single pack of seeds. And, previously looking through their catalogs, one or two items is all I usually would like.

Meanwhile, yesterday I stopped in a local dollar store just to take a quick look around. They had an American Seed rack that looked like it had gone through a tornado. I managed to sift through the rubble, to find 16 varieties of seeds, all for a total cost of $4.

The issue with Golden Rave is that it seems to have been discontinued, so if Gurney's still has it, that might be the only choice. The only other place I see is HPS Seed (100 seeds for $34.95). Stokes Canada has it listed, but the minimum order is $250 and they probably can't ship to the US (they have a separate US site, and Golden Rave isn't listed there). So I guess it comes down to how badly you want it.

I got that $.25/pack American Seed deal last year at Ace Hardware, but the choices were pretty limited, and all very standard. It was a good way to get some more Detroit Dark Red beet seeds!
