Default Beneficial Insects and Earthtainers

Evening all:
So, I've been reading extensively about companion planting for my garden. I have 90% of my plantings this year in Earthtainers for tomatoes and peppers.

As I am trying to use less pesticide, I'd love to add some borage, yarrow, dill, coriander and other plants to draw beneficial insects.

Have any of you done this? Did you grow them in containers within a few feet of the Earthtainers? Plant in the ground on the perimeter of your yard?

I'm in bone dry northern California and trying not to plant too much in the ground due to drought and sure to skyrocket water bills.

Traveler, good for you trying to conserve. Bravo! There are a few who subscribe to the logic of companion planting. Redbaron is one that comes to mind.
