Cracking skin as it ripens

Pix #2 is the first Red Sweet Cherry Pepper, and it is doing the same thing as the first Peppadew (supposed to be Peppadew). The skin shows these marks. I've grown bell types before and did not encounter this before. Watering has been very consistent - no plus - no minus. Temps have just recently shot up into the mid 90's with low 70's at night. Any ideas about what I can do different to prevent this.

It's corking. Corking is most common on jalapeno peppers, but it does happen on other thick-fleshed peppers. Shouldn't hurt anything.

I've seen corking, it reminds me a little of the netting on cantaloupe.
Peppadew, is that another controversial vegetable like Marianna's Peace and the Egyptian Tomb Grains? Who knew the vegetable world was so full of intrigue!

Thanks. I thought it was a natural thing and okay, but needed some confirmation. Both of these are totally mild.
