Garden Insects of North America-2nd Edition
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this question but here's where I'm posting. If it's not, my apologies. I have Garden Insects of North America checked out from our local library system. I'm interested in purchasing the book myself for my own use. I noticed the copy right date was 30 years ago. I did a little google research. They came out with a 2nd revised edition last year. My question is does anyone have both books or ready access to both books and if so, how do they compare and differ in your opinion? Thanks!

I thought this was the case but wanted to be sure before responding. Whitney Cranshaw is an incredibly knowledgeable entomologist who works for Colorado State University and is very involved with all extension work. As a CO Master Gardener we are able to hear him speak during our trainings and I did purchase this last edition from him recently. Let me know if I can help you. This latest edition is the one to get per Whitney as many things have been added.
