Is this a double? A triple? More?

My first fruit off this Carbon plant, and it's a doozy! Not ripe yet, but I decided to go ahead and pick it. At first I thought it had grown around the stem of the plant, but it was just the big blossom stem! I know some people say to pick off the big fused ones, but I think it's kind of cool looking, in a mildly scary way...
