Is Tobacco OK to put into Compost?
I smoke Cigars. I was wondering is the ash and the Buts of the Cigars OK to put into Compost? Beale.

If the plant has/had thisTMV, maybe you want to be careful,it will carry over to some other vegetation.

As a precaution i would leave it out of the compost pile. As stated above tobacco mosaic virus is something you dont even want to risk in your garden. Better to be safe than sorry.

The tobacco fields as far as I know have pretty much been eradicated of the virus.
But you would have to smoke a ton of cigars to do any good. I wouldn't bother with it. Worth |
