Bean Inoculant Question

I've read that the standard way of inoculating beans is to toss them in the inoculant before planting. Has anybody tried or have any thoughts on simply mixing the inoculant with water and watering the solution after the beans have been planted?

Well, if you have healthy soil means that you have enough nitrogen in your soil.

But some people inoculate with soaking the beans for 1 hour only.

The recommended way is to wet the seeds (preferably with a solution of something sticky as a binder), shake them in the powder to coat them, then plant immediately. When I use inoculant, I just sprinkle some of the dry powder into the the hole with the seed(s) when planting. You could probably mix the powder into a solution & so something similar as you were planting, directly on the seed... but after planting, I'm not sure enough of the inoculant would penetrate the soil for it to be effective. Other than the cost of the inoculant though, no harm in trying.
