What won the fruit set race?

So who won the race in your garden for the first fruit to set?

Omars Lebanese with 6 tomatoes is my leader. Followed by Minibel Bush with 4, and my Hillbilly/Black Krim both have 2. Everybody else isn't far behind with tons of flowers. I think this cool weather in Middle Tn has been good for the fruit set.

Aside from 2 nights where we got down to 42 last week (I lost a couple blossoms) everything is going great in my 1st year with Heirlooms in the ground.

I just got my first babies of the season yesterday. I am so tickled and happy.

They both came at the same time.

The first pic is Azoychka. I can't say it, have to look it up to spell it, but I'll sure be able to eat it when it is ready.

The second pic is Blackfoot RL, and the third pic is the one lonely little carpenter bee still alive in my yard. Poor thing, he had to take a break. Too many blossoms for him to do all at once.

I'm just too excited seeing the first set of the season. My feet are doing the happy dance. I have to keep checking to see how they are developing. I can't wait for more to form so I can see what all these new folks look like.

Ok, who is next, bring on your fruit sets. Make me jealous.

As expected, Galina's was my first. I have a few Stump of the World out there and some Rose Quartz.

My Sweet Olive went insane with about 80 fruit set...But I suppose cherry types are cheating

Other than that, Old German is on the board with 6, Black Krim 5-6, Martino's Roma 5-6 and Pineapple just showed 2 yesterday.

I ate my first Quarter Century yesterday. Great variety, and the tomato was really good. Marglobe is getting ready to be ripe, same for Tadesse and Santorini Plum. One of the Santorini's was ripe, but a bird got it, so I am not counting that one.

Given that this variety is supposed to be mid to late season I was somewhat surprised but happy at the early fruit set as this is a tomato I was excited about trying. Planted two and both have fruit on them.

Mortgage Lifter was the first to ripen for me. It was ok. Mortgage Lifter was better than Parks Whopper though,next was MagiQo. It has been the most flavorful by far this year. Nice plants and great tomatoes. I picked a 13.3 oz Black Krim. It was at about 65-70% blushed but had started to split so I grabbed it. Also pick a Russian 117 that I can not wait to eat. Burbank I saw my first ones almost 10 days ago and now there are about a dozen on each of the two plants. It was well above 90 most of last week and Burbank doesn't seem to care about when it should or shouldn't set fruit, it's on a roll. Hopefully it tastes good because this is promising. Martino's Roma has a couple tiny babies that just showed up today which seems about right since the temp dropped to the low to mid 80's late last week.

My other two - Dwarf Champion and Rosella Purple have both been flowering for a couple weeks but no fruit yet. Maybe they're more sensitive to the heat or they're just being shy, but they need to step it up, its only going to get hotter...

It was pretty close between IS, ISPL and Pruden's Purple. They all have a lot of fruit on them but I picked my first tomato yesterday and it was Pruden's. Set out in the garden on April 4 and first ripe fruit May 26 which is pretty quick. I don't see any other tomatoes even showing a hint of blush. I think it may be because the small plant just set so many fruits and they are tending to run smaller than normal but I guess that is to be expected with such an overload.
