Cyril's Choice?

Anyone grown this? Perhaps in a container? And if so, how did it do for you? From the pics at Tatiana's, looks like rugose foliage, very small plant, maybe 1-2 oz fruit. But bigger on average than a cherry tom. I have some planted as a test to compare the plant size with Patio. Of 7 varieties planted at the same time, it is the only variety that seems to have a small, sturdy growth habit like Patio.

Getting ready to make another comparison group, that will include Early Wonder, Orange Pixie F1, and Sophie's Choice. My quest is to find an early with a nice dwarf plant habit similar to Patio, but also with large enough fruit to slice for BLT's.

ha ! I am growing a few ....in the 2- 3 gallon tests

they look great and rugose and stout I think if the fruit work out good as other pictures show ...it could be one of my new favourites.

Have you ever considered comparing Kootenai in the above mentioned bunch ?

also Yaponskiy karlik ?

Mine were the size of small slicers, like an extra-large saladette.

Yeas ! Cyril's Choice and Mano look very nice and happy in Container culture.

MANO, would be my choice! Great, all round tomato-slicing, saucing, drying on a very short stalky plant

I'm certainly impressed with what I've seen thus far with Cyril's. One of my comparison tomatoes, Sophie's Choice, did not germinate. I'm going to get some seeds from a different source, but can anyone tell me how it compares to Cyril's *in terms of plant size*? Is it small like Cyril's or larger like typical ""compact determinates?"

Cyril's is an actual dwarf ......

I think it actually might grow taller than Sophie's but tolerate a slightly smaller container ???
It sure is a good one this year .

Sophie's is Not an actual dwarf .....but soooo compact

Sophie's worked out for me in 3 gallon even and has good size medium fruit (even on occasion "large" medium) I think 24 " tall max . ??? In ground is good also .
It might as well be an actual dwarf as it is so compact .

Cyril's Choice is definitely larger than Sophie's choice, I have grown both, but in different years. And as to taste: I like Cyril MUCH more!
