Default Baker Creek Seeds

Got my order from Baker Creek today. Took only 4 days and was complete. All the seed packets said minimum 25 seeds. To my surprise every packet had at least 50-60 seeds and one had to have close to a 100.
Plus they sent 2 extra packets as a "thank you".
They now have a lifelong customer.

Ditto, one of my favorites. Customer service still earns points in my book.
Several of the rarer squash varieties I ordered this year had 40-50 seeds also. I always grow too many squash to save seed so I like the value packs as squash seeds germinate well here for 6 or 7 years.

I placed my first order with Baker Creek this year...I was very pleased with their quick delivery, packaging and overall customer support.

I am also a returning happy customer - I ordered from Baker Creek in 2005 and 2006, and I was very pleased with the packs and the germination.
Very good place to shop for heirloom seeds indeed!

Sounds like a good seed company to send some of my seeds next year. They have a very nice heirloom collectiona and a marvelous catalog too.

Yes, i must say their paper catalog is my favorite garden porn. Also, I like their varieties, the amount of seed in the packets, their prices, shipping, eh I guess I like everything so far. I like their squashes and melons too.

Wow. GARDEN PORN!!! I thought DH and my brother were the only ones that used that expression (when making fun of me).

I really like Baker Creek. However, I do wish that I could pay online. That is the only major change that I would like to see. They are definitely VERY generous with their seeds and freebies. Their prices are also super reasonable!

Next year, I definitely want to try growing their sweet potatoes. Yum.

Angelique....Are you thinking of Sand Hill instead ? I think they are the sweet potato folks...Baker Creek does let you pay online....The Sand Hill catalog is pretty austere as far as garden porn goes...Only garden nerds, like myself can study a Sand Hill catalog.

Oops. You are definitely right! I actually love both sites/companies. I already have a tentative 2007 purchase list for Baker Creek. I also have one for Sandhill Preservation.

I have a hard time keeping them straight too, as they are the 2 places I also order from every year...plus some small orders from elsewhwere, but between SH and BCH I can get the bases covered....

I have bought from Baker Creek the last 2 years and just placed and received my order for the 2007 seeds. their seed packs grew out true and they are reasonably priced and they are very friendly. I will be buying from them for a long time.

I love Baker Creek, and did 2 orders from them this year. They made a mistake on my first order but corrected it quickly, let me keep the mistake seeds, and gave me some bonus packs to make up for the error. They've got a lifelong loyal customer in me.
Great selection of interesting varieties, beautiful catalog, and outstanding customer service!
