Default Should I top my plant?

I am a second year tomato grower here I learned 90% of my knowledge here I grow in containers (EarthTainers) ....... I have 2 plants in the same EarthTainer here. I have a " Mortgage Lifter and a Big Beef" in the same 31 gallon container. My Mortgage Lifter is 7 feet tall today as of today while the Big Beef right behind it and is about 6 inches shorter. Should I clip the height on the Mortgage Lifter or build a taller cage? Both plants are very happy and producing many flowers so far >>>>>Talon

Hey Talon,

Both plants will grow 9 feet plus, so first recommendation is to extend the cage as much as you can. Topping ought to be the last option.
