or wireless thermometers?
Does anyone have a device they recommend that will tell you the max/min inside your cold frame/greenhouse?

I came across this teeny tiny little one and was intrigued - Mondi Mini:


But I do wonder if I'm better off with something bigger and that has a remote sensor (with the ability to adding multiple sensors in different locations...)

I have been looking at this as well. This one on Amazon has three sensors and is only $60, with very good reviews as well.

if your humidity will be high for sustained periods of time make sure you get one that has a remote sensor and keep the main unit in something dry, digital hygrometers wont usually read accurately for very long. the most reliable is the spring coil analog kind but of course that wont give you a high/low reading but still good to have so you can see when the digital starts to go south

I use Acurite wireless thermometers for remotely reading the temperatures in my tunnels. I looked at the Mondi mini that you pictured in your post. It's pretty much the same as the Acurite thermometers that I use. Lowe's, Walmart, Home Depot, and many other places sell the wireless temperature gauges. I think that they're a must have if you grow most of the year in high tunnels. If one fits into your budget, I would purchase one.

I've used various wireless versions in my cold frames and they work fine. I usually just by the one that is about $25 at Home Depot. I've had to replace it a few times due to it getting water damage from me not giving it the protection I should.
