Bamboo

Are any TV members growing bamboo? Need advice on bamboo planting for a screen hedge along a fence line. Best types that grow to ~10' with minimal care in partial shade in zone 7b. If you have any to share I will gladly pay postage.

I have a 12" thick 3' deep containment of bluestone and cement. be very careful. Bamboo is extremely invasive !!

Tried the Philippine green striped went crazy and took over yard.Found these Timber Bamboo that are not invasive,will grow to 40 ft plus,striking landscape addition.These are one year old from 6 inch plants.

Not a really good choice in general especially bordering a neighbouring property which will also be affected as most commonly available ( and affordable) types will quickly run and become aggressively invasive unless contained which is difficult and also expensive.
I have one clump of black bamboo that is in a very large pot partially sunk into the ground. So far it’s contained but I keep an eye on it closely

Thanks for all of the comments. I was aware of the bambooo spreading and was planning on clumping bamboo . Thoughts on that appreciated.
