what do you think of these vendors
Hello Everyone, I am a new member and I would like to ask you what do you think of these 2 vendors "Dianes Flowers" and "amishland". I have read in this forum some people are not happy with some vendors and I would like to know what is your experience with these vendors. I have a small garden and I need to buy seeds that will be true to name and description. This year I purchased from Diane is Purple Passion, Cherry Brandywine, Babywine, and Earl's Faux. From the vendor Amishland I purchased Royal Hillbilly, Stump of the world, Lancaster County pink, Glick's Brandywine, Bear Claw and Sabre Ukrainian Heirloom. I love my paste and Brandywine tomatoes. What do you think, are these vendors OK? Thank-You

I would suggest you go to the main page and click on the word "search", enter amishland and scroll down until you get to the title amishland where there is an extended thread on this company.
I think there has been no discussion on Diane's so far as I can remember.

casino, welcome to our tomatoworld. If you go to the top of this forum you will see the thread "Recommended Commercial Seed and Plant Sources". This is a compilation of seed/plant vendors that are known to carry varieties true to name and variety that have provided good service to their customers. If a paticular vendor is not on this list they are either new or do not meet the above criteria.
If you check out the threads in this forum you will come across one on Amishland and you can draw your own conclusions. Ami

also check the garden watchdog at: http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/
for opinions from gardeners who have purchased or had experience with one or more of the many seed and garden companies. |

I just have to say it - with amishland, you are overpaying many times over for varieties that are available elsewhere...and the background info is highly suspect in some cases.
