I have ordered from them three times...I just sent my mother some pole bean seeds from them and she received the order in a timely fashion. First, they are generous with the amount of seed they send...second, they are very reasonable price wise, and third, they do a nice job of packaging.
I have had good germination rates with their seeds and have had an overall very good experience with this vendor. I think you will be happy buying from them...

Thanks mark.
When you say in a timely fashion what do you mean? |

I believe my mother got her seeds within 10-14 days...while not the fastest shipper...I thought it was reasonable...given they are a family run business. I forgot to mention that I always get a confirmation email too. On my very first order...I got a bit anxious after ten days and emailed them...they emailed right back that the shipment was going out that day--the seeds arrived two days later.

I ordered several varieties of tomato seeds a few years ago from them. Great service and prices. All seeds grew true.

Hmmm, looks like a good site and located not too far from me. I need to order some Blue Lake pole beans and they carry them and their shipping charges are reasonable (I refuse to order a single item at places that charge $7-9 shipping charges).

Well, I placed an order on February 9th and have not received it. I too will be calling.
I have always had positive comments about HA...but I fear that such long delays in fullfilling orders and lack of replying to email inquiries will keep me from providing any recommendations or business in the future. I understand that they are a family owned business...and that's why I like buying from them. However, if they are getting more orders than they can handle, then this extra business will disappear. I regret that I had to post this...or read others are disappointed/upset with this company.

I order from Heirloom Acres too and just received my order after over a month later. They did reply to my emails and said they were behind because of heavy orders.

Received my seeds from Heirloom Acres today. Took about 3 weeks which has been customary this year for the smaller family type operations. Seeds well packed. Bought ground cover also and it all appears fine. Germination rates stated on each packet. And all were fairly high. Will order again when I need the seeds they offer. Jay

Heirloom Acres Seeds
I ordered from them in January and I received my complete order. Although they are not "speedy" in their shipping, they still are reasonable. They took about 3 weeks from the date I placed the order online until I received it. However I did call them after two weeks to follow up. Despite that, they were honest in informing me about the processing time being 2 weeks.
If your the type that needs seeds within 7 days of placing the order, this may not be the best choice. However, their customer service, prices, quality in seeds, packaging, and germination rates are very favorable. I believe honesty, loyalty, and fairness is so important in this industry that if seed companies cannot conduct their business with these principles in mind then they do not deserve me as a customer. I would order again. |

Mark, what was your final verdict on this place? Just slow? Was your seed correct? Thanks.

I had good results with the seed I've planted so far. Will be planting the ground cover this fall. I will be ordering again in the future. Jay
