Default Tomato Cores??

My wife was canning yesterday and she cut the cores from about 1/4 of the tomatos and put them in the compost pile. Is that right? What would you do?

Yep. Anything that won't go easily thru the food mill goes to the compost pile. Here in the great state of Tennessee,

IT'S THE LAW OF THE LAND!!!!

Well, I guess if it gets fed to the chickens/turkeys, it ends up as compost too. <grin>
