Default (Sungold x Sandul Moldovan) x Pink Boar

This year's were at F3. I decided to persue a striped line from this cross (big surprise). I'm aiming toward a Sungold-type sweet flavor (rather than the sweet/acid balance I generally try for).

Here's the F2 from which these are derived --

FY 8-8, 8-9, 8-22, 8-18, 8-11
FY 8-8 bicolor, bigger, great taste.
FY 8-22 sweet
FY 8-11 meaty but weak.
Didn't save 8-18 or 8-13.

FY 8-3 fruity, 8/10.
FY 8-5 didn't get saved.

I'll go for this cross since I was the one who introduced Sandul Moldovan

http://tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/Sandul_Moldovan

What's interesting was that the Sandul family were sponsored in their move to the US by Andy Durbak's wife who was an immigration lawyer and sponsored many from countries in that area. And they brought seeds with them but had no place to grow anything.

So I was given the seeds, saved lots of seeds for them and then when they moved to their own home and had room to grow stuff I gave back the seeds.

OK then, I liked this cross for Sandul Moldovan, also Sungold.

But when I went to the Saratoga NY race course, all these folks were studying sheets with the performances of the horses before they placed their bets.

Not me,for I chose horses depending on what they were named.

Those are very pretty tomatoes, if they taste as good as they look you have a winner.
