Houston-We have babies!
Greetings from Presleyville
Planted my seeds a week ago saturday and they were up this past Sunday. How long should I wait before I transplant into larger pots? Mike Memphis |

Greetings and congratulations, Mike! It depends on what size container they're in, how many plants/container, etc. When I plant using either Jiffy 7's or in 72-cell trays, mine are usually ready to be potted up about 10-14 days after they're up. By that time they've got 2 sets of real leaves. If you're going to separate multiple seedlings and pot them up separately, you wouldn't want to wait until they were root bound in the cell or you might do a lot of damage trying to separate them. If you're going to save only the strongest seedling, just snip off the competition and you might be able to wait longer to pot up.

Kath! Thanks for the info. I planted them in large clear plastic solo cups, so they have some room to expand. I only have a table lamp for a grow light so I'm thinking they might get leggy.
