english cucumber
two years ago my friend grew an english cucumber, can't remember he purchased the seeds and last year and so far this year, we have not been able anything labeled as such. This was a mild flavored cuke, but very fragrant when cut.
Anyone heard of this? Piegirl |

There are some modern English type cukes around nowadays, but I believe Telegraph Improved was one of the originals. It's still pretty popular and easy to find seeds. I think Baker Creek carries it. They also carry some of the Japanese burpless types.

I grew one of them a while back and the blossom was really nice smelling but I could not stand the flavor.
