Default Lemon Squash on trellis

I want to grow Lemon Squash this spring in a raised bed. The bed is 4 ft X12 ft and 18 inches deep. The vines will be supported on a trellis 5 ft high by 6 ft wide.

What is the recommended spacing between plants, how much room do they need in a raised bed and trellis of this size? How long are the vines?

Is Lemon Squash really a squash, or is it a gourd? How well did it grow in your garden?
