Default What is the difference between muskmelon and cantaloupe?

Can someone please point me in the direction of a thread or a resource that simply describes the difference between the two. Thanks, Ed

If the skin is netted it's a muskmelon. True cantaloupes are a bit harder to grow in my opinion, but taste better depending on the variety. Crenshaw is a cantaloupe while Hale's best is a muskmelon.
