Got this variety courtesy of Jeff Casey-thanks Jeff! Just picked my first one, going to grill it tonight. Have also picked one Kamo.

Excellent, smooth taste. We chopped it and put it in some pasta we had last night. Very good.

I found them to be the sweetest eggplant variety that I have tasted.
Jeff Did you manage to plant any of the other varieties that I sent? |

Have not tasted those other varieties, so cant comment. Jeff I also planted from you New Long Nagasaki, Chiku You Naya (spelling?). They have both fruited, but no ripe fruit yet.

Here is a photo of Chiku You Naya (spelling?) that I just picked. Picked 4 of them. This one weighs 18 grams-small fruit. All of them about that size.

Your handwriting was probably perfect-its my poor eyes that I bet is the problem. Here is a photo of some Kamo and the Japanese Long Green, along with a chile called San Juan Tsile-well known here.

Michael,
I notice in Japan that once the plant starts to peter out they prune it down and also root prune with a shovel around the plant. THis way they get a rejuvenated plant that will produce a good sized fall crop. Jeff |
