Runner bean seed
Anyone know of a source for Insuk's Wang Kong and Tucomares Chocolate runner beans? I am having a struggle finding good seeds. Bought some online, and not even runner bean seed. Arghh. Want to try them out in Montana. Will trial next year, if requested.

Insuk's is common among us traders. Look for the "Bean, Pea, and other Legume" swap sometime around October. I'll be the host.

Both of those runner beans are heirlooms. Sand Hill Preservation normally sells Insuk's Wang Kong, but they are sold out for the year. Tucomares Chocolate, to the best of my knowledge, is not offered commercially.
As Tormato hinted, those runner beans are commonly traded; I grow & maintain seed for both. Much of the Tucomares Chocolate being circulated has been crossed, sometimes heavily. I have been attempting for several years to eliminate the impurity in the seed sent to me, and believe I have restored the strain to its original all-brown seed. Contact me by PM if you wish to arrange a trade. |

My name is James Wright and I made the initial distribution of the seed now known as Insuk's Wang Kong.. I have about 100lbs of seed and another 100lbs climbing the fence. We haven't grown them for several years as we grow them for consumption and had an adequate supply. In the past I always supplied them for free including Postage. The offer still stands.

Insuks Wong Kong
I don't know what my problem is with my Tomatoville account. Its possible that I was dropped for lack of participation. Possibly thought I assumed room temperature given my age. jwr6404@outlook.com should work.

I have seed for Insuk's if you are still interested. I just recently put up an offer thread. I will need a padded SASE (as people complained they were crushed in the mail).
