First sale!
Woo Hoo!,
Made my first cash sale today! Sold some jalapenos, bell peppers, sweet bananas, hot bananas, cowhorns, garlic, threw in a couple herbs for her being my first cash customer. Up until now it was always trade a beer, or a couple jars of home made jam for some hot peppers. Or several pulling in and saying no thanks yet, waiting on the tomatoes.

I agree, that first cash sale is very exciting and satisfying. It validates what you're trying to do and confirms that people want what you're offering. It was a great day when I made my first cash transaction!

I just know you had your produce inspected by the FDA for cleanliness and contamination before you sold it.

Today was my first big day. I am excited. Been running the last month or so without a sign because I have had far fewer tomatoes than I could possibly hold on to. I was continually sold out just to neighbors. But today The Miracle BPF's finally came on like gangbusters. I picked about 1/2 a bushel of just The miracle's off a few small plants. That's the benefit of determinates. When they come they come. Add to that a few pints of assorted cherries a pint of sungold F1 several bell peppers and 6 large squash, and I finally had enough to open the stand again. I am nearly sold out...and that's at 2 dollars for 3 Miracles! So thanks for the well wishes. It worked!
I know it is small scale for a lot of you market growers. But if you only knew my budget! I am already almost in the black and my main crop indeterminates haven't even started producing yet! I have only had 1 Big beef and no Rutgers yet! But they are coming!

What variety is the Miracle BPF? If you explained it before, I must have missed that thread Lyn |

Hot Dawgs!
You got me excited. I'm still about 2 weeks away from serious production (Lord willing). Good on you! Charley |

Thanks to you and everyone else offering congratulations. It is exciting. It makes it worth it. jmhammRN came by today and bought everything I had left! (except for a few I give away as part of my civic duty) Which wasn't a whole lot but I am back to having to close the stand again until I pick some more! Luckily I should have enough by tomorrow.
