What have I got here? Mis-labeled?

Looks like I received some mislabeled black cherry plants.

Any ideas what I have? I have 2 and they are both identical. Look to be pear shaped for sure and fairly large but still not a full size tomato. Unripe fruits are about 1.5 to 2" long. Sorry I dont have any indication of color as of yet.

I'm not even going to take a guess, but for sure not Black Cherry.

They could be some kind of paste tomato. Could be of any color at this point (well they're not a 'blue' tomato). Probably no stripes.

It would be helpful to know where you bought the plant and what other varieties they offer. Was this a Bonnie's Plant?

Dont think its big enough to be a paste tomato or roma. Definitely a smaller pear. I've not grown many pears except yellow, this is definitely bigger than that but much smaller than san marzano or the likes.

1.5 to 2" is normal for roma's. I hate to pick the things.

This. Darker green shoulders, same shape, and grows in the same clusters. A fortunate mistake IMO.

Funny how it works. You get used to certain cherries and "must haves" and then sometimes a new one accidentally becomes a favorite!

You won't know how big they'll get until a color break is seen.
It could be red or brown, Roma or Juliet and many other possibilities..
Obviously not black cherry.
