That's a great idea Jenn! I would love to have something
printed up for people to get. Anyone else have feedback on this? Lee |

Some years ago, I use to help with Training/Learning Events. One of my resources was a guy who ran a Silk Screen Business(it is no longer in business).
I prepared the art work for a single color print on Tee Shirts;they made the screen for me. Folks in attendance brought their own shirts and they did their own after instruction. All you need is the framed silk screen, a colored paint/ink (I like water type for easy cleaning) and a squeege and lots of news papers for printing on. VGary/Louiville |

That's soundsl like a good idea
I think it'd be great to have t-shirts! Perhaps serveral. Mabye one with a bit of humor, mabye a one with a large logo, and then one with a small logo.

Here's some samples of what we could put on the shirts.
Any preferences? Lee |

Pic a shirt
I like 3, the lettering is what I like about it. Perhaps the lettering on 3 with the red color of 4.

The more colors you have the more process in the printing and the higher the costs $ per shirt in screen printing. Thought you might keep that in mind.

Why not go one further and include cherry tomatoes in the loops in the calligraphy of Tomatopalooza.
Also, why not include the location (city) and year on the T-shirts as the venue for the tomato-eat-a-thon varies from season to season. Just my two cents' worth! LOL Skip, in Oz

Lee..I would like to persue this further. I have a source for silkscreen that we can use. What does everyone think about the idea? Would it be worthwhile?

Carol,
I think it would be a fabulous idea that I would love to have followed through. Here are the issues. 1. We need a design. I'm artistically challenged, so we'd need someone with an eye for art to come up with something that looks good and will be cost effective for a T-shirt. 2. We need a source.... looks like you (Carol) may have a lead on that. 3. We need some initial funding. If there's enough interest, we should be able to find this.... 4. We need a lead to take the project on. I will be extreemly busy with work, school, kids, and tomato growing to effectively follow up on this... Any takers? Lee

Lee...How many people came last year? Are you looking for the design that you had posted last year with something that says TP 2008 on the front? What colors? Black and White? Should orders be taken and/or should we just sell some there?

Carol,
We had maybe 100+ folks last year, but I suspect maybe 30 or so that would want a t-shirt. The designs from last year may be too many colors for something economical... thus the need for a new design. I would lean toward something light grey like the old GW shirts, but could go with anything that looks good. I suspect we'll get some preorders and have extras for others and possibly following years... (No date so they could be used next year.) Just my initial thoughts, Lee

I can't come to Tomatopalooza, but I can help with the graphics. It's what I do for a living. I just need a couple concepts and I can probably do something, if you don't get any volunteers.
