Troyka Pepper from Andrey
Hi,
Received seeds in a trade from Andrey two years back. The sweet pepper is called Troyka. This pepper plant is very hardy and grows well, with a thick main stem and side branches. Plants loaded up with long conical peppers around 6"-8" long and 2" wide at the top. All are very uniform and start out green, then go yellow, then red-yellow. Best eaten when yellow! Plants still pumping out peppers, even in September! Great plant and peppers... Randy

I just noticed that I saved a lot of Troyka seed from last summer. I must have liked it.

Don't you love going through seeds and finding those surprises? Troyka is a new name to me, I'll have to look it up.

Oh yes, Troyka is a very good one! I had it 2 years ago, seeds from Andrey. It will be back next year; this year there are too many new-to-me varieties to try...

Yes, Troyka is a hardy masterpiece from our Belarusian Institute of Vegetable Gardening since 1994.
I've been sending hundreds of seeds worldwide, but it is still quite rare to hear about this variety abroad The second one is Alesya which is also from the same our Institute since 2003. The same great producer with a perfect hardiness.

Of the two, Andrey, which has the shortest DTM? I'm assuming that it would be Troyka; most of the peppers that are yellow immature really struggle to ripen here.
