OK... I'll fess up. It might be me!

Would you believe all of my tomatoes look like that?

But what about the giant?

Reputable seller, but I can't vouch for this particular variety.

That's insane coming from a single plant. Must be years old????

I did the overhead canopy thing with multiple plants, mind you, the first year I grew heirlooms... Unfortunately it was an outstanding cold rainy season and all the blossoms that dropped were tiny mold bombs... I also got moldy stems everywhere one stem crossed another.
I wouldn't do it again for that reason, but it was cool to pick the hanging fruit inside a tomato tunnel!

I wouldn't call that seller "reputable" since that ad is full of obvious mistakes or downright falsehoods.

The same pic as here.

Calls them 1-2 lbs when the pic is just large cherries.

Says the plant gives 50 lbs and calls that 3 bu. Sorry but that's only 1 - 1.5 bu on my farm (roughly 20 lbs / 5 gal bucket, 2 buckets = 1 bu)

Has a rather confusing name in the description. Up top it's "Giant Italian Tree". Then in the description it's "This is the Tomato Italian GIANT variety, not to be confused with Tomato Italian Tree variety" So what is it ??!!!

This is the kind of seller that gives eBay a bad name. Buyer beware.

That was the Tomato Tree at Epcot/Disney World in Orlando. It has since died several years ago.

The "Italian Tree Tomato" as a variety is also known as Trip-L-Crop.

Why did the tree die at Epcot Center? I didn't know it died.

It probably just got diseased and ugly, and they took down the exhibit.

Has anybody grown Trip-L-Crop? What was the fruit size, production, and flavor?
