Atlanta Growers welcome at new farmers market

Epworth UMC will host the Epworth Farmers Market at Candler Park every first and third Thursday of the month, 4-8 pm, beginning May 15, 2014, through 16 October, 2014. The market will be in the church parking lot at 1561 McLendon Avenue.

This mixed market will offer artisan Georgia produced products and local businesses. Visitors will be able to buy fresh and organic Georgia-grown fruits, vegetables, meats and farm products directly from the Georgia farmers who grew them.

Very best of luck. You should be blessed by being located in Candler Park. Up here it got REALLY old trying to develop any real interest in home grown, much less organic and heirloom. Most folks just wanted cheap, cheap, cheap ...even though many of the vendors just when down to the Atlanta Farmers Market where the produce unloads from around the world and brought back boxes full of commercial fruit.
