Girl Girl's Weird Thing

This was my one of the best producer for me this year. It was juicy and great in salads and sandwiches also. The tomato also had very few blemishes also. My biggest was 15.38oz The other was Brad's Atomic Grape which is still producing and they were a lot bigger than expected.

I have grown G G W T for the last 3 years,usually with good production and taste. This year the taste was there, but only got about 5 toms. I think it was the hot weather we had in June and July. Mike

This was one of the best tasting tomatoes in my garden this year, even after 8 inches of rain in August. That is saying a lot since I have found that an excess of water usually leads to bland tomatoes. I saved seeds from one and plan to grow it again next year. Thanks again!

Bump on an old thread....

I've seen a couple references to this tomato. Would be interested to hear more feedback about this variety in terms of flavor, production, disease resistance, etc.

Also, where is a good source for seeds?

Many here grow it. I think this will be my 4th season upcoming.
I still have original seed and should bag some blossom this year.
It made it into my top ten slicers that first time I grew it.

I will have it as soon as I can get my web page updated. It will be new for me this year. I collected about a 1/2 oz of seed that germinated great.

For me it was a vigurous tall plant with consistently quite big fruit. I think the biggest advantage they have over other blacks is that they are firmer, and much less shoulder cracks, so overall better shelf life. In terms of taste it didn't get to the highs other blacks do, but it was good, on the sweeter side.

I really like it although I always find its relative Green Zebra too mild in taste, this one has great flavor and is productive.
