Hello all, just thought I would post a few pics of some of the greenies I had show up in the last few days. The beginning of the season is so close I can (almost ) taste it!

looks so much like my garden...i am so excited i have 10 of 12 varieties of tomatoes and all 6 types of peppers in fruit now....

Looking good, Kelli! I'm only in my third year of gardening here in Florida and due to late frosts/freezes didn't get my tomatoes and peppers planted out near early enough. My fingers are crossed that I'm able to harvest some tomatoes and peppers before fungal disease, heat and pests take over. So far things are looking good -- some tomato plants are head high and peppers and eggplants are waist high.

Ooh, your plants look great! It might just be the lighting of the photo, but it doesn't look like your sungold is toooo far away from starting to ripen.

Your plants look terrific, Kelli! My tomatoes are way behind yours- Sungold is the only plant with tiny green tomatoes so far aside from the 3 that I started in Feb. Of those 3, only Chello has ripened fruit- 6 so far. I did pick the first ripe pepper today, though- also started really early. We've been eating spinach, lettuce, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, celery, strawberries and now peas. As long as I have something to eat from the garden, I'm happy, and things are doing really well so far- no complaints.

sjoella, This is only my second year with heirloom tomatoes and I am trying 11 varieties! So excited!

Just wanted to show a quick update. This is that Stupice tomato from the first post. The texture was really good for the first off the vine and it was a nice promise of things to come!

Haha, thanks you two

My hubs was as excited as I was for the first 'mater of the year. We ate carefully to make sure we each got the same amount of that small Stupice. I just think it's hilarious because in a few weeks we should have tomatoes coming out of our ears! Cheers!

Everything looks fantastic! When did you plant out your garden looks way ahead of mine only a few flowers so far. I planted out the beginning of April sans the potatoes, broccoli, and onions planted in March..

Raindrops: I planted out the first week of May from seed I started in February. Last year (my first for growing from seed) I had planted out the second week of April! Spring just seemed to come much earlier last year :-)

Thanks Charley, this is my first year with all of my pepper varieties (except jalapeno) and I am very much looking forward to my first taste. Cheers!

Hello again...just wanted to do a quick update. Harvested my first two Ichiban eggplant of the year along with a sweet banana pepper. The eggplant turned into Friday's dinner. Grilled eggplant subs...Yum! Cheers to all!
