Photo Question
Do you have to link to a photo from a site, or can you post a picture from your computer?

As far as I know, at this time, you need to have your picture on a web site somewhere. You then call it up, copy the http address, paste into a topic, highlight and then click Img above - and voila! - you have a picture.

To add to what Craig said, you cannot link from another link on another site. It must be a link from the site where the image is physically stored (hosted).

I'm trying this out, as it didn't work at another topic where I tried it. Thanks for the help.

MDVPC, I just joined Shutterfly and transferred one phote to see if I could see how you go from there and I could not figure out how that site gives out HTML and IMG codes.
It may be very easy but I just don't get it either. I must say I prefer Photo Bucket. It simply says click for HTML and IMG codes and then gives several options--ie to use on e-bay, etc or to use on forums, etc. It also allows for click-on thumb-nails or just the straight big image. Photo Bucket is free too though I decided to join as I like it so much. Maybe if you add at the end it would work. |

photobucket works best for me - I just upload onto their page - copy the "file name in Image box" and paste into message (no IMG needed) ~ Tom

I joined photobucket too. It's easy to download photos to their site, and easy to post them on this site
