Composting with human bodies
"carefully and properly composted human remains are safe enough to use in a household garden."

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. We are all made up of the same molecules found in the universe.

To be honest the first thing I thought of was Jeffery Dahmer, as morbid as it may seem.
Then it spiraled down hill from there, I had to get up and get my mind off of it. What disturbs me most is how on earth can our society get to the point of thinking of this much less passing a law to allow it. And yes it really disturbs me because it shows where we are headed and I'm glad I wont be around to see it or at least hope not. |

Compost me in
Everyone is in a tizzy to out-recycle their neighbors, but when they die they are pumped full of formaldehyde and sealed in a box.
Composting is the most natural route, tested over millions of years. I'm sure i could add a little special flavor to your tomatoes after I'm gone! |

As an organ donor, I do plan to recycle my body -at least partially- after I'm gone.

If someone wants to be safely composted - more power to them. Throughout most of history, almost everyone composted one way or another - though it happened at least a few feet deep.
I would be interested in how safe it is when considering disease and toxic medical treatments. Any other mammals commonly composted? We are just molecules, but do any other molecules in the universe know that they are molecules in the universe? |
