Backyard shots and Container Tomatoes
A beautiful day today after a short rainfall last night. Yesterday was weed-n-whack day in the backyard and fed my maters some microbe tea. Heres a few shots including a couple picture of my plants inside the poly tubes. Ami

I hear you Michael. The only problem is sandstone about a foot down. I dug a hole I think about 16" deep when I first moved in and filled with water to check the drainage. A week later the water level had dropped a whopping inch. Pounded a piece of rabar about a foot deeper than the hole and the water never did drain. I gave up after that and got a surrogate at work that are soil grown. I don't mind the containers and have more control over the plants. Ami

Ami-thats what I mean-you need more containers! Incidentally, have been using actinovate as per your recommendations and no disease at all so far for me-only thing we really get is early blight.

Thats not all of them. I have some on the side of the house under the balcony. I've got the "W" factor to contend with as to the number of containers I can put in the yard. Glad to hear the Actinovate is working out for you.
When I transplanted my seedlings in CowPots to the containers I mixed up some Actinovate in a 5 gal bucket and dipped each seedling in the solution for about 30 seconds. So far so good. Ami

Ami-I truly understand the "W" factor. One of my friends here in El Paso, who by the way is having the best year ever, calls his wife: "She who must be obeyed." I am using a lot of compost tea this year also.
