Default Any use for BER fruits?

Can these be allowed to stay on the plant and harvested for seed collection? I read on article where the author stated that they just used them for canning or juicing by cutting out the rotton spot.

I don't use BER fruits for anything b'c for me they have an off taste. And I've always used the best unblemished fruits for seed saving. Not that the BER fruits are diseased, they aren't,but I just never have wanted to use them for either eating or seed saving.
