Default Green acers as far as the eye can see

Its getting harder each weerk to keep the flow of positive energy and good thoughts out to the tomato patch. Maybe not acers of plants but the 84 I have brought along so far are absolutely filled with fruits getting close and seem to be taking forever to ripen at the same time. Late frosts kept me from planting until mid May, and whacked a few fruit trees in the bargain.
I have been craving tomatoes so badly I went to the farmers market this weekend with the intention of actually buying a few toms to calm down. None, not any, zip.
We are all in the same boat around here.
So whats the bright side? Soon...soon.

I'm in Zone 8B as well and have only gotten tomatoes on 2 of my 20 Plants(Sungold and Black Prince and they are less than 1" in diameter. Your Post title got my attention as I thought Green Acers was a newer variety of green tomato with Maple type leaves. After reading, I came to the conclusion you meant Green Acres after the old TV series.

Yep, spell check not oops check.
Maple Leaf, that could do wonders better than wispy for the hearts.
