Giant Marconi, two shapes!
These three peppers all came from the very same plant. I've never seen a bell-shape on Giant Marconi's before. All others on the plant were normal long ones. The bell shape was growing around the wire of the cage, which accounts for the bent shape, but you can still see the fat bell shoulders on the bottom.
I got the seeds from TGS, and I know Giant Marconi is a hybrid, but how common is it to have both forms on one plant? |

I had one like that this summer. I destroyed the evidence in the garden *burp*

I had the same results on the one Giant Marconi plant I had. One lone bell pepper and the rest where longer type. It must be one of the parents showing up.
I thought the plant did pretty good considering I purchased it late in season for $.25 and it was shaded by two rows of Armaranth and a row of okra. Dean |
