Greenhouse advice

I’m trying to help a family friend this year by providing her with tomato plants for her to sell out of her nursery this year. We plan on transplanting the seedlings to 3 inch pots this weekend but she recently heard that the kerosene heat she uses in her greenhouse could harm vegetable plants. I have never heard this and need to know if this could be a potential problem for tomatoes.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have friends that do have greenhouses and they have wood stoves. There complaint is every 3 to 4 hrs they have to get up and stoke it back up.

Many people have used kerosene heaters in GH with no problems.

I think CO2 enrichment can be beneficial in the greenhouse.

I think non-venting type heaters still need ventilation.

I think heater with low-oxygen cut-off feature is good to have

Cool, so I'm guessing that if she has ferns, flowers, and vines that have had no problem with her current system then the maters should do just fine.

Just to add to the subject. I have used kerosene heaters in my greenhouse for years and they work great. I have had no problems with my plants. They seem to thrive.
