Welcome back to Tville. I grew up in the high desert of south central Oregon and loved going to the coast through the lush green mountains. Makes me homesick just thinking about the area (even after fifty years).

Welcome back to Tomatoville. I would imagine 2600 miles on a Harley lends it self to a numb butt. But I bet the scenery was worth it!

actually it's a good testimonial for corbin seats. No numb but, the scenery was incredible even at 80. Especially New Mexico, Arizona and Northern California!!! I did it in 4 1/2 days

thank you all for your kind words and welcome back. I told everyone at lunch what we are about to receive from the good folks a t'ville and our moment of silence at lunch when we change gears and collect ourselves was spent in appreciation for each and everyone of you for your generosity. Thanks again

Wow, that sounds like quite an adventure. Something I've often dreamed of. Not the Harley though (bad experiences on motorcycles...I've learned 4 wheels at the corners are what is best for me). Post some pics of your property if you are able. Would love to see that part of the country.

re
we have an uber slow dial up so if you do a search from msn for mountain homestead there is a flicker stream of 500 pictures from a a permaculture course that was held here in sept. of 2007
http://www.flickr.com/photos/elisfanclub/1462316078/ sorry I didn't add the link the other day and just said go look. We had just spent 9 hours pulling stumps and I still had/have to make a base for our microhydro electric turbine so we can start making elec. from it. I noticed a similarity between yr name and the founders. Any relation or just coincidence? Do you want other vegetable seeds other than tomatoes? Also have a variety of flowers too, if that interests. Haven't sent the other packet as yet, but can add more to it.

just coincidence on the names. I don't get the luxury of being the gardener here at the homestead we have eco forestry, homestead and permaculture needs to be met. But nothing will stop me from growing my tomatoes. I am speaking with Marleen our gardener from E. Germany and trying to get her to check out our lovely site here and get her input on needs and wants.
